Ramadan Mubarak to all of my readers.

In previous years, the fasting period (from dawn to dusk), was short enough for me to keep some fasts. This year, Ramadan has shifted towards the back end of summer and therefore the fasting period is a challenging 16 hours. Given my diabetes, it would be crazy for me to try and keep the fast and then wrestle control of my condition in the 8 hours that remain of the day (or rather, night). So I’m disappointed, but I won’t be fasting.

Ramadan didn’t used to mean much to me as a Qadiani, but since I have been a Muslim, it has been an uplifting experience. I feel connected to every Muslim on the planet, of every race and background. (Qadianis are connected only to a Punjabi subgroup, because despite their best efforts and the support of Western media and governments, Islam and even other groups are highly resistant to this heretic creed). Of course, Qadianis do fast, and I do pray that those who love the part of Qadianism that takes its core from Islam, will be guided to truth and revert to Islam when they realise just how divergent Islam and Qadianism are.

Islam is vibrant today, because despite rampant Islamophobia, more and more people are drawn to Islam and indeed, are becoming Muslims by the day. The dark(!) picture painted of Muslims in the Western media doesn’t very often tally with the reality. For starters, Islam is way too diverse and confusing for most people to grasp. Sure, modern-day Orientalists, some of whom are faux-left-wing bloggers thrown up to media-stardom level by a system that clearly hasn’t a clue, have tried to pin this label and that on us, completely missing the point - that despite many differences, Muslim people have more in common with each other than their rulers and dividers would like to portray.

In this holy month, Muslims will be fasting and doing their best to be as “good” as they can. We will be reciting Al Qur’an, we will be praying taraweeh, we will make dhikr, we will attempt to minimise our bad habits and increase our good ones. We will be kinder to neighbours, we will be more loving to our parents and our children. We will call for peace and denounce oppression and tyranny.

It’s no surprise that those sailing to Gaza to break the blockade imposed by the lying, treacherous, murderous, oppressive, racist and Nazi-like regime in Israel have been threatened by the same. After all, this is the state that sinks US ships and yet still receives tax dollars from the families of those it murdered.

Israel is the world champion of lawlessness and hypocrisy, which in a world that includes the corrupt and duplicitous regimes in the USA and in the UK is saying something.

Like myself and millions of others, I am pleased to say that the citizens of any of the aforementioned nations do not necessarily subscribe to the murderous manifestos of their hell-bound elites. Take holocaust survivor Hedy Epstein, she’s actually on one of these boats. And she’s 84!

NICOSIA - The Free Gaza and Liberty, the ships seeking to break the Israeli siege of Gaza and its 1.5 million citizens, are on their way to Cyprus and are planning to set sail for the Strip this week.

The ships have been held up by gale force winds in the Mediterranean but the 40 peace activists signed on remain committed to the voyage in spite of the delay. In the meantime, some of the boat people have been receiving threatening phone calls on their mobile phones.

According to Lauren Booth, the sister-in-law of former British prime minister Tony Blair, about a dozen of these menacing messages have been received both on board the ships and in Nicosia, where the majority of the activists are currently based.

Some of the callers, text messages and answer messages speak of the ships being “blown up” or “destroyed, killing all on board”. More perniciously, said Booth, the menacing elements have been making calls to family members.

On the afternoon of August 14, an anonymous male caller rang her home in France and spoke to her husband as her two young daughters were playing hide and seek in the garden. This person told her husband that Booth was in “great danger. These ships will be blown up”.

Her husband asked how this caller had obtained her private number but received no answer. The threats continue. In a posting on the Free Gaza website, Booth asked: “Who is behind these phone calls? Who benefits by upsetting the families of those on board the Free Gaza and the Liberty? Who would wish to unsettle journalists aboard as unarmed ships set sail towards the waters around Gaza and almost certain interception by Israeli forces? The answer is clear. I will carry on bringing you reports from the waters around Greece, Cyprus and even Gaza.”

Greta Berlin, co-founder of the Free Gaza movement, said yesterday that the threats have deterred no one and have, in fact, made them more determined than ever to carry on with the mission.

On Friday, Holocaust survivor and boat person, Hedy Epstein of St. Louis, celebrated her 84th birthday.

Actually, America is also heavily influenced by Crazy Zionist Christians, but it is currently Israel that America serves, only most Americans don’t know this.

A while back I worried whether I was being over the top when comparing Israel to the Nazis. I no longer see this as an untenable position, given that much more respected commentators, both American and even Israeli, use the same parallels.

I’m having some issues with the K2 theme I’m currently using. Every time I upgrade my Wordpress installation, the settings get trashed. With the latest WP update to 2.6.1, the plug-in for K2 finally gave up the ghost and I’m now considering moving to a paid-for theme.

No Western media outlet talks about the scale of child murder in Palestine, because of the most negligent apathy and institutional racism it is possible to imagine. A kind of deliberate nudge-nudge-wink-wink blindness, hand-in-hand with their Jewist allies, against the Arab terrorist Mozlem scum of the earth who need to be ground into the dust under the jackboots of glorious ashkeNAZI defenders of the blood-soaked earth that was never really Israel.

In the meantime, the Hasbara parrots and their “Anglo-Saxon” admirers prolong the suffering by placing the blame firmly at the door of the people whose doors have been blasted in (along with the rest of their shack and resident family) in the concentration camp that is Gaza by a Zionist missile. In the meantime, only the brave few from the Western world (and occupied Palestine, i.e. Israelis) are brave enough to speak truth to evil.

The only reason the politicans and the mainstream media of the “Christian West” turns the other cheek is to turn a blind eye. After 60 years of hypocrisy and wilful negligence, patchy sight seems to be returning to some quarters of the media, if not our craven, shameless, lying, murdering, collaborating, fascist “leaders.”
